Class of 2019

Hi! My name is Tatum Traudt, and I am currently a Senior at Roosevelt High School. This year I am enrolled in several AP courses and honors classes. I enjoy reading, baking, and walking my dog outside of class.

At school I am a part of the Cross Country team, National honors society, and the biotechnology club. I volunteer with Magnuson Series, a local organization that hosts monthly themed races, and I also am a Spanish tutor for high schoolers. In the summers I work as a camp counselor for the Pacific Science Center, and this summer will be my fourth year there.

I am very excited to team up with others at my school and be able to make real and impactful change on a global scale. It is amazing how much power we have as young people to do so much good for others, and I intend to take full advantage of this opportunity.

Class of 2019

My name is Jeantille Weiss but I go by Tillie. I am 17 years old and a rising senior at Roosevelt High School in Seattle, Washington.

I am an initial member of the Roosevelt dive team, watching it grow from no more than 3 members to more than 15. I am part of a scouting troop called Cascade Leadership Challenge focused on teaching youth leadership through outdoor trips that are primarily organized and ran by the youth. I took a class in wilderness first aid, an essential outdoor survival skill, through this non-profit. I was a part of the United States Naval Sea Cadet Corps which taught me leadership through structure. This group helped me learn how to take charge as well as the importance of following orders through their boot camp and Petty Officer Leadership Academy. I was able to become a Petty Officer Third Class and be understand responsibility in this program because of the training I received. In the future, I want to work with animals, especially those in need.
