My name is Saideepika Rayala, and I am a high school junior at Olentangy Liberty High School. I currently serve as the editor-in-chief of my school’s news website, and I am also one of the senior officers on the student council. Outside of school, I am the founder of The Columbus Civic, a news organization that provides the local news in the native languages of local immigrant and refugee communities. I also volunteer at my local refugee resettlement agency and as a writer for the Central Ohio Red Cross Communications Team. I am passionate about journalism, and in my free time, I can be found writing or practicing archery. I am very excited to be a part of the International Business Internship Program. Through IBIP, my team and I have the opportunity to make an impact on businesses in Nigeria and become more globally aware citizens.

Class of 2020

My name is Rainbow Huang, and I am a junior at Olentangy Liberty High School. This year, I am currently taking Advanced Placement courses at my high school.

I participate in state-recognized academic groups, including Junior State of America and Science Olympiad. I am also member of the National Honor Society, Spanish Honor Society, and Tri-M Music Honor Society. Additionally, I play the clarinet in my school’s marching band as a section leader, and have been playing the piano for more than ten years.

The International Business Internship Program is a completely new concept in ideology that I never thought I would have the chance to experience. I’m excited to have the chance to work on an innovative project that has the chance to leave a positive lasting impact in the future, as well as furthering my own education in the meantime. I look forward to the great things that we can do!

My name is Melinda Xia, and I’m a junior at Olentangy Liberty High School. I have a great passion for politics and public speaking.

I currently serve as the district Mayor for Ohio River Valley JSA, and next year I will be serving as our region’s Governor. I have been involved in the Junior State of America since my freshman year, through which I have strengthened my understanding of political debate and activism. I also serve as an intern to a state representative of Ohio, and have consequently learned much about state politics and government. I also participate in our school’s DECA program, in which I serve as a Public Relations officer and have participated in statewide competitions.

I am very thankful to be a member of the International Business Internship Program, and work alongside our wonderful team members. I believe that this organization gives students the opportunity to gain insight on what it truly means to make an impact, and provide the guidance and support necessary in allowing businesses to flourish.
