Gonzaga College High School
International Business Internship Program
Our Life-Changing Project
Class of 2019
My name is Victoria Castillo and I am currently a senior at Whitehouse High School. Throughout high school my life has consisted of AP and Dual Credit courses and some extracurricular activities. What I enjoyed the most was basketball and the friendships I made throughout. What I enjoyed most was that it helped me discover my passion.
My interest is the medical field. I have always had a passion for helping others but towards the end of high school I have really ensured that is what I want to do for a living. I plan on pursuing a degree in nursing and then travelling with the ability to care for others. This is also why I have chosen to do some of the extracurricular activities I participate in.
Last year I was asked to join a team for the IBIP program and have really enjoyed it. I am excited for this year because of the mission this program is part of and the people on my team.

My name is Kylee Updike, and I’m a Junior at Whitehouse High School. I was born in Orlando, Florida and grew up in East Texas. I attend Whitehouse HIgh School in Whitehouse, Texas where I and several friends began our internships with Leadership Initiatives.
I am currently president of two clubs on my high school campus and am actively involved in several others. I enjoy painting and cooking and I love to volunteer anywhere I can, whether it be at my church, my school, or in my community. My passion in life is to simply help people, and growing up, my parents were instrumental in the development of this passion. I plan to double major in Nutritional Sciences and Finance in college before attending medical school to become a pediatrician.
I’m super excited to be an Intern for Leadership Initiatives because I think it will really help prepare me for anything I wish to do in my life and offers a unique opportunity to impact someone that lives on the other side of the world.

I chose to join LI because of my love for community service I believe that time is one of the most valuable things that you can give to someone and it means the world when someone takes their time into me and so i enjoy to return that back to them. Any chance I have to volunteer time to someone I will jump on. I am excited and ready to start this program.
Class of 2019
My name is Colton Haile, and I am a senior at Whitehouse High School. I want to study nursing in college and eventually work as a certified registered nurse anesthetist. I have always had an interest in medicine and in helping others, so studying nursing seems like it will suit me. I am heavily involved with the high school band, and I was selected to be a squad leader. As a squad leader, it is my responsibility to teach and be a role model to the 40 people in my section as well as the rest of the band. From the age of 16 I have been an active member of the work force, which has helped me understand the value of time and money not only for myself but for others. I hope that my experiences, though limited, can help anyone who may need it.
