My name is Christopher Karle. I live in Ridgefield, Connecticut and will be graduating from Immaculate High School in 2022. I am passionate about health, wellness, and sustainability, so I founded Head2Toe where we donate hand-knitted baby hats to hospitals and community centers to support the health of infants; made adult hats from recycled cloth to improve the wellness of the homeless through the Midnight Run Organization; and recycle gently used shoes to Soles4Souls to outfit people in poverty-stricken areas both domestically and internationally. I received the Connecticut Association of Boards of Education Student Leadership Award for my diplomacy, ability to work with others, willingness to take on challenges, and ability to honor commitments (2018). I am an active member of Lions Heart, a community service based group, where I have earned both the Bronze and Gold President’s Volunteer Service Award for 50 and 100+ hours of service respectively (2017, 2018). I have also been a Peer Mediator for 3 years. Athletically, I am a member of the GMS Rowing Club. Learning to row has taught me perseverance, hard work, and teamwork.
