Our Life-Changing Project
Class of 2021
This is Camara Kelly. She is in the 10th grade at Elizabeth Seton High School. She loves to walk the dog, hang out with friends, watch Netflix, and workout with her team. She loves to try new things such as new sports or new clubs. She has excellent grades. She is a hard worker and dedicated to her studies, so that she can succeed in her career.
She participates in the sport crew. She doesn’t have much time on her hands, so she spends her time wondering about the future in college. She wants colleges to see a girl who is hungry for change and is ready to make a change. She wants them to see that she is willing to challenge old ideas to create more efficient ones and that she is determined to make life better for people all over the world.
Her position is the team lead on the IBIP team. She is excited to join the team because she deeply believes in helping those who are less fortunate than her especially on a global scale. She says for her to have this opportunity in high school is life changing.
Class of 2021
This is Katelyn Flowers. She is in the 10th grade and attends Elizabeth Seton High School. She loves to hangout with friends and cook. She absolutely loves to workout and try new things. She is constantly on the honor roll and does service work for multiple organizations. She also wants to participate in beauty pageants.
She participates in extracurricular activities and sports such as Field Hockey, Track, Softball, Ambassadors Club, and Choir. She loves to do camps and clubs that involve astronomy and physics. This summer she participated in a summer girls physics program. In college she wants to major in Astronomy and minor in Physics.
She is the Media Chair of the IBIP team. She is excited to join this team because she is happy to help people in need and she is is hoping to her to open up to more experiences for her future. She loves to see people get what they need if they don’t have it and this is a great way for her to help out, not just in her country but the fact that it is across the world.

This is Lindsay Smith. She’s in 10th grade. She attends Elizabeth Seton high school. Lindsey is a hard-working students with great grades in a positive outlook on life. She loves to take a modern dance classes and participate in local food banks.
Lindsay participates in the Elizabeth Seton crew team. She loves to spend time with family, learn new languages, listen to music, and being a good friend. She wants colleges to see her as a positive role model and a leader in the community.
In our IBIP team, she is the College Assistance Chair. Lindsay sees this as a great opportunity to explore interest in business by working with different partners and a team with her friends. She also believes in helping others and says this is a good way to show that.

This is Madison Skinner. She is in 10th grade. She attends Severn High School. Madison doesn't have lots of free time on her hands so when she does she likes to relax, get a snack, and watch movies. She loves marvel movies in particular!
She is a busy girl! She participates in basketball, golf, the multicultural alliance club, and band. Most of her days are taken up with the activities she has to do, but when she has free time, she also talks with her parents about her future. When she thinks of college, she wants them to look at her and see her work ethic and that she make good decisions.
She is the Nigerian Partnership Position on the IBIP team. She joined because she felt like it was a great opportunity to work on her business and communication She believes that her good work that she will contribute will benefit herself and people around her.

This is Angeliki Efantis. She is in 10th grade. She attends Elizabeth Seton High School. She has plenty of free time so she likes to join clubs and do activities that involve singing and acting. Since she was young, she’s had an enthusiastic outlook on life. She’s always happy, she’s always energetic, and whenever something new comes up she’s the one to take the first place.
She participates in theatre. She participates in Elizabeth Seton High Schools top choir. She loves to sing and dance with her friends and participate in every single one of Elizabeth Seton‘s plays. In her free time, she likes to sing with her father and play with her dog. he also loves her friends dearly. She wants to go to community college for two years to get her basics done and then transfer to UMD. She says this will cut her student debt in half and give her more time to think about what I want to do with my life. She wants colleges to see what she has behind her sleeve, but she has to find up what's there first.
She is the Special Projects Chair of our IBIP team. She is excited to join the team because she feels like she’ll doing something that's going to leave a positive impact on someone's life who really needs it. She says it feels like she’s doing something worthwhile.

This is Tyne Watts. She is in the 10th grade. She attends Elizabeth Seton high school. Tyne is a very enthusiastic human being. She likes to spend her time encouraging her friends to do better in school and studying. She is also very busy student. She is a student athlete and a year round honor roll student. She is also part of SGA.
She loves gymnastics. She is in level nine gymnast and also a Girl Scouts candidate. Tyne loves to participate in things in schools such as, The Latinas club. She also loves to read, her favorite book is called Animal Farm. In college, she wants to become an aerospace engineer. or a mechanical engineer. She wants colleges to recognize that she is a hard-working female with a lot of aspirations in life.
She is the Fundraising Chair of the IBIP team. She joined the IBP team because she thinks it is it a good outlet for teenagers interested in the business world. She personally has a fundraising interest. Tyne believes if more teenagers are invested in helping people around the world then the world would just be a little bit better every single day.

Story of the Business
Abdullahi struggled significantly in running his own business before he partnered with Leadership Initiatives and the International Business Internship Program (IBIP). However, Abdullahi now attributes his rapid growth and success to the hard work of his partner IBIP students and the support from Leadership Initiatives. He is currently working with IBIP teams to learn new detection methods of processor failures, creating OS recovery partitions, uncovering new hardware drivers, improving financial management, and expanding his advertising in the region.
About the Owner: Abdullahi Umar
Abdullahi studied health education at the University of Maiduguri when he discovered a new passion while taking a health technology course: computers. After graduating, Abdullahi found an apprenticeship at a local computer business center to pay off his university fees. His passion for computers grew, and he began to teach himself computer repair skills outside of his apprenticeship. Abdullahi decided to take his dream one step further by opening up his own computer repair business in Bauchi, Nigeria.
Despite a rough beginning, Abdullahi now owns his own storefront and employs two members of his local community. He strives to provide the most affordable and reliable computer repair and business center in Bauchi, helping to expand the technology infrastructure in the underdeveloped region. He also supports his wife and two children through the profits of his business. Abdullahi and his business currently directly benefit 10 people in his wider community.
