Greensburg-Salem High School
International Business Internship Program
Our Life-Changing Project
Class of 2020
My name is Vienna, and I am a junior at Greensburg-Salem High School.
I pride myself on being heavily involved at my school while excelling in AP and honors classes. I have been a part of a Public Forum debate team for five years and have gone to the state and national competitions. This year will be my second year on the Mock Trial team as an attorney and my first year being a part of the Student Council Association. Outside of school, I have been dancing for six years.
I decided I wanted to create an IBIP team while I was at the Leadership Initiatives Law Internship camp. I am excited to not only further develop my law skills by working on real cases but also provide help to Nigeria. I can’t wait to see what this year brings!
Class of 2020
My name is Jordan, and I am a junior at Greensburg-Salem High School.
Each year I make sure to include myself in rigorous courses that will challenge my thinking, therefore I’m involved in honors and AP classes. I have been a part of both the French Club and the Interact Club for a year, and I’m involved with my school’s Student Counsel. I also have been dancing outside of school, tap for 15 years, jazz for 13 years, stretch for three years, and modern starting this year. I also hope to further my community service by helping teach dance to the kids who attend my studio.
I am excited to be a part of the IBIP program because I love helping others, and what better way to do it than putting together young and intelligent minds that want to make change happen. I’m also excited to learn new skills, for this project is a new experience for me. I look forward to applying the skills I learn in this program to my life in the near future.
Class of 2020
My name is Madison Rugh and I am a junior at Greensburg Salem High School in Greensburg, Pennsylvania.
My interests encompass a wide range of topics. I am a member of the Varsity Girls’ Soccer and Track and Field teams for my high school. I also have competed with my school’s debate team for the past five years, qualifying for nationals once, and the mock trial team for the past year. Other than that, I am an active member of the Interact Club, French Club, and Student Council. This past year I became involved in an exchange program where I was able to explore the culture of France more in depth. Outside of school I volunteer with my local Historical Society and work with genealogy, dance, golf, and volunteer with my church.
I am extremely excited to be a member of the first IBIP team at Greensburg Salem High School because it is giving me a chance to truly make a difference in the world. This program is allowing me to have a far larger outreach and overall impact on the world that I may not have been able to do on my own at this stage in my life. Overall, the IBIP team is giving me a once in a lifetime opportunity and I am very excited to take advantage of it!
